How to get God to love you

mikehill4jesus “How to get God to love you”

John 14:23 Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.’

Jesus Christ, the Lord, gave clear instructions to those who believed in Him and were saved through His Gospel
Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

The problem for members of Churchianity is that they have not been spiritually baptized. That is why they can’t baptize others.

The Enduement Of Power From On High
(
To be given spiritual power and gifts by God)

By Charles Finney
NEW YORK, THURSDAY, DECEMBER 21, 1871

In this article I propose to consider the conditions upon which this enduement of power can be obtained. Let us borrow a little light from the Scriptures. I will not cumber your paper with quotations from the Bible, but simply state a few facts that will readily be recognized by all readers of the Scriptures. If the readers of this article will read in the last Chapter of Matthew and of Luke the commission which Christ gave to His disciples, and in connection read the first and second Chapters of the Acts of the Apostles, they will be prepared to appreciate what I have to say in this article.

1st. The disciples had already been converted to Christ, and their faith had been confirmed by His resurrection. But here let me say that conversion to Christ is not to be confounded with a consecration to the great work of the world’s conversion. In conversion the soul has to do directly and personally with Christ. It yields up its prejudices, its antagonisms, its self-righteousness, its unbelief, its selfishness; accepts Him, trusts Him, and supremely loves Him. All this the disciples had, more or less, distinctly done. But as yet they had received no definite commission, and no particular enduement of power to fulfil a commission.

2nd. But when Christ had dispelled their great bewilderment resulting from His crucifixion, and confirmed their faith by repeated interviews with them, He gave them their great commission to win all nations to Himself. But He admonished them to tarry at Jerusalem till they were endued with power from on high, which He said they should receive not many days hence. Now observe what they did. They assembled, the men and women, for prayer. They accepted the commission, and, doubtless, came to an understanding of the nature of the commission, and the necessity of the spiritual enduement which Christ had promised. As they continued day after day in prayer and conference they, no doubt, came to appreciate more and more the difficulties that would beset them, and to feel more and more their inadequacy to the task. A consideration of the circumstances and results leads to the conclusion that they, one and all, consecrated themselves, with all they had, to the conversion of the world as their life-work. They must have renounced utterly the idea of living to themselves in any form, and devoted themselves with all their powers to the work set before them. This consecration of themselves to the work, this selfrenunciation, this dying to all that the world could offer them, must, in the order of nature, have preceded their intelligent seeking of the promised enduement of power from on high. They then continued, with one accord, in prayer for the promised baptism of the Spirit, which baptism included all that was essential to their success. Observe, they had a work set before them. They had a promise of power to perform it. They were admonished to wait until the promise was fulfilled. How did they wait? Not in listlessness and inactivity; not in making preparations by study and otherwise to get along without it; not by going about their business, and offering an occasional prayer that the promise might be fulfilled; but they continued in prayer, and persisted in their suit till the answer came. They understood that it was to be a baptism of the Holy Ghost. They understood that it was to be received from Christ. They prayed in faith. They held on, with the firmest expectation, until the enduement came. Now, let these facts instruct us as to the conditions of receiving this enduement of power.

1. We, as Christians, have the same commission to fulfil. As truly as they did, we need an enduement of power from on high. Of course, the same injunction, to wait upon God till we receive it, is given to us.

2. We have the same promise that they had. Now, let us take substantially and in spirit the same course that they did. They were Christians, and had a measure of the Spirit to lead them in prayer and in consecration. So have we. Every Christian possesses a measure of the Spirit of Christ, enough of the Holy Spirit to lead us to true consecration and inspire us with the faith that is essential to our prevalence in prayer. Let us, then, not grieve or resist Him: but accept the commission, fully consecrate ourselves, with all we have, to the saving of souls as our great and our only life-work. Let us get on to the altar with all we have and are, and lie there and persist in prayer till we receive the enduement. Now, observe, conversion to Christ is not to be confounded with the acceptance of this commission to convert the world. The first is a personal transaction between the soul and Christ relating to its own salvation. The second is the soul’s acceptance of the service in which Christ proposes to employ it. Christ does not require us to make brick without straw. To whom He gives the commission He also gives the admonition and the promise. If the commission is heartily accepted, if the promise is believed, if the admonition to wait upon the Lord till our strength is renewed be complied with, we shall receive the enduement.

3. It is of supreme importance that all Christians should understand that this commission to convert the world is given to them by Christ individually.

Everyone has the great responsibility devolved upon him or her to win as many souls as possible to Christ. This is the great privilege and the great duty of all the disciples of Christ. There are a great many departments in this work. But in every department we may and ought to possess this power, that, whether we preach, or pray, or write, or print, or trade, or travel, take care of children, or administer the government of the state, or whatever we do, our whole life and influence should be permeated with this power. Christ says: “If any man believe in Me, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water” that is, a Christian influence, having in it the element of power to impress the truth of Christ upon the hearts of men, shall proceed from Him. The great want of the Church at present is, first, the realizing conviction that this commission to convert the world is given to each of Christ’s disciples as his life-work. I fear I must say that the great mass of professing Christians seem never to have been impressed with this truth. The work of saving souls they leave to ministers.

The second great want is a realizing conviction of the necessity of this enduement of power upon every individual soul. Many professors of religion suppose it belongs especially and only to such as are called to preach the Gospel as a life-work. They fail to realize that all are called to preach the Gospel, that the whole life of every Christian is to be a proclamation of the glad tidings.

A third want is an earnest faith in the promise of this enduement. A vast many professors of religion, and even ministers, seem to doubt whether this promise is to the whole Church and to every Christian. Consequently, they have no faith to lay hold of it. If it does not belong to all, they don’t know to whom it does belong. Of course they cannot lay hold of the promise by faith.

A fourth want is that persistence in waiting upon God for it that is enjoined in the Scriptures. They faint before they have prevailed, and, hence, the enduement is not received. Multitudes seem to satisfy themselves with a hope of eternal life for themselves. They never get ready to dismiss the question of their own salvation, leaving that, as settled, with Christ. They don’t get ready to accept the great commission to work for the salvation of others, because their faith is so weak that they do not steadily leave the question of their own salvation in the hands of Christ; and even some ministers of the Gospel, I find, are in the same condition, and halting in the same way, unable to give themselves wholly to the work of saving others, because in a measure unsettled about their own salvation.

It is amazing to witness the extent to which the Church has practically lost sight of the necessity of this enduement of power. Much is said of our dependence upon the Holy Spirit by almost everybody; but how little is this dependence realized. Christians and even ministers go to work without it. I mourn to be obliged to say that the ranks of the ministry seem to be filling up with those who do not possess it. May the Lord have mercy upon us! Will this last remark be thought uncharitable? If so, let the report of the Home Missionary Society, for example, be heard upon this subject. Surely, something is wrong.

An average of five souls won to Christ by each missionary of that Society in a year’s toil certainly indicates a most alarming weakness in the ministry. Have all or even a majority of these ministers been endued with the power which Christ promised? If not, why not? But, if they have, is this all that Christ intended by His promise? In a former article I have said that the reception of this enduement of power is instantaneous. I do not mean to assert that in every instance the recipient was aware of the precise time at which the power commenced to work mightily within him. It may have commenced like the dew and increased to a shower. I have alluded to the report of the Home Missionary Society. Not that I suppose that the brethren employed by that Society are exceptionally weak in faith and power as labourers for God. On the contrary, from my acquaintance with some of them, I regard them as among our most devoted and self-denying labourers in the cause of God. This fact illustrates the alarming weakness that pervades every branch of the Church, both clergy and laity. Are we not weak? Are we not criminally weak? It has been suggested that by writing thus I should offend the ministry and the Church. I cannot believe that the statement of so palpable a fact will be regarded as an offense. The fact is, there is something sadly defective in the education of the ministry and of the Church.

The ministry is weak, because the Church is weak. And then, again, the Church is kept weak by the weakness of the ministry. Oh for a conviction of the necessity of this enduement of power and faith in the promise of Christ!

Even true Christians can get things wrong!
We all need to heed the Apostle Paul’s teaching. Timothy was a young Apostle who had been called by the Leaders in the Body of Christ. Yet even he needed to be reminded by the Apostle Paul of what God expected of him in the Ministry.
1 Timothy 4:16 ‘Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.’

It’s your Choice
In the Holy Bible, the Lord Jesus Christ speaks of two gates that everyone has to make a decision over which one to go through. One gate is Narrow and the other is Wide. Each of these gates leads onto a road that represents your life here on earth and likewise they are the same as their entrance gate.
Matthew 7:13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

There is no Neutrality
Do you want to go to heaven when you die? Then quite clearly, God has offered you his only Son in order that you can make a thoughtful choice in this matter. He does not offer you a neutral path. You will have to make a choice, if not the narrow then the wide. You will have to bear fruit in your life, if not good, then bad.

Matthew 12:30 “He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters.

Mark 9:40 for whoever is not against us is for us.

Luke 11:23 “He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me, scatters.

Luke 16:13 “No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.”

Luke 9:62 Jesus replied, “No one who puts his hand to the plough and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”

Matthew 4:10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'”

John 12:26 Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honour the one who serves me.

Mark 16:20 Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.

Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Psalm 111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.

Life or Death
If you choose to enter through the narrow gate, you will find real and abundant life. Your life will have that inextinguishable and indestructible quality that is self-existent in God and shared with those human beings he created. Us! For we are not animals. It is God’s gift to man animating him both physically and spiritually and making him an eternal being; “the absolute fullness of life…which belongs to God.”

What are those who claim to be Christians doing when they abuse those whom are being led by the Holy Spirit?

They are abusing the Holy Spirit of God and thereby they are abusing also the Father, his Son Jesus, and the true Christians they live with.

Biblical Interpretation can be a danger!

There are many examples in the Holy Bible where God communicated DIRECTLY with his chosen one. Yes, he used a variety of methods, but he was using them to speak directly to the person concerned.

Sadly, today and in the past, others placed their understanding so as to block the person who God wants to use.

However, our Powerful Lord Jesus helps us to overcome them.

We have a wonderful, powerful God who is perfectly loving, good willing and benevolent. A God who can do anything, even by using a family like ours.

When in 1987, the Rev. Ken Newton of Wholeness Ministries International called me out to the front of a Birmingham Bible Institute class in 2 Pakenham Rd, Birmingham B15 2NE,  and prophesied that my ministry would be far wider than I could ever imagine, I never believed it would be as wide as it is today.

Praise be to God!

Link to Ken’s second letter to us 05/10/1992

This second letter was 5 years before the Holy Spirit helped me to start my first website The Christian Signpost.

As is plainly clear, Our Lord Jesus gifted Ken to help us as a family and me in my ministry.

The second letter mentions my calling to mobilise the Churches for Spiritual Warfare – the battle between the desires of the human Flesh and the desires of the Holy Spirit of God. So far, after 30 years, the Church Doors are firmly closed against me here in Birmingham, England, and elsewhere. My hope is that some may be opened soon.

What are the Christians doing to the Holy Spirit who is working through Mike Hill?

The Father wants these people to be saved. Jesus wants them to be saved. The Holy Spirit wants them to be saved. Those who witness for Jesus’ (John 14:23) want them to be saved. Angels in heaven want them to be saved.

PROFESSING CHRISTIANS WHO ARE DETERMINED TO RESIST THE HOLY SPIRIT ARE IMPENITENT SINNERS WHO DON’T WANT TO BE SAVED!

Ignorance is not an excuse for hating Jesus

mikehill4jesus “Ignorance is not an excuse for hating Jesus”

The Father spoke through his Son, Jesus Christ the Lord
John 14:24
Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching.

Why? Because the Holy Spirit is available to all who need to know the will of God.
John 14:23 Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.

Who is a true Christian and how did they become one?
John 14:23 Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.’

Once they had the Father and His Son the Lord Jesus living with them, they received power from the Holy Spirit of God.
Mark 16:20 Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.

The Holy Spirit teaches true Christians.
John 14:26 But the Counsellor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

The Holy Spirit dwells with, and in, true Christians.
John 14:17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

The Holy Spirit abides for ever with true Christians.
John 14:16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counsellor to be with you forever–

The Holy Spirit is known by true Christians.
John 14:17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

Warning to pay attention
Hebrews 2:1 We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. 2 For since the message spoken through angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, 3 how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. 4 God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.

How the Holy Spirit of God can be treated

The work of the Holy Spirit can be resisted through disobedience and unbelief. God hates selfishness and it’s the selfishness in Christianity that God punishes. But of course, Christless Christians are unable to be Christian.
Romans 8:6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. 7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8 Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.

9 You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. 10 But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. 11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.

Scriptural images of resisting the Holy Spirit

Grieving the Spirit
Isaiah 63:10 Yet they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit. So he turned and became their enemy and he himself fought against them.

Ephesians 4:30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Resisting the Spirit
Acts 7:51 ‘You stiff-necked people! Your hearts and ears are still uncircumcised. You are just like your ancestors: you always resist the Holy Spirit!

Genesis 6:3 Then the Lord said, ‘My Spirit will not contend with [Or My spirit will not remain in] humans for ever, for they are mortal; [Or corrupt] their days will be a hundred and twenty years.’

Acts 6:9 Opposition arose, however, from members of the Synagogue of the Freedmen (as it was called) – Jews of Cyrene and Alexandria as well as the provinces of Cilicia and Asia – who began to argue with Stephen. 10 But they could not stand up against the wisdom the Spirit gave him as he spoke.

Blaspheming against the Spirit
Mark 3:29 but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.’

Matthew 12:31 And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.

Luke 12:10 And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.

Hebrews 10:29 How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?

1 John 5:16 If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that.

Quenching the Spirit
1 Thessalonians 5:19 Do not quench the Spirit.

Lying to the Spirit
Acts 5:3 Then Peter said, ‘Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? 4 Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.’

Testing the Spirit
Acts 5:9 Peter said to her, ‘How could you conspire to test the Spirit of the Lord? Listen! The feet of the men who buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out also.’

Undervaluing his gifts
Acts 8:19 and said, ‘Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.’

20 Peter answered: ‘May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money!

Doing despite him
Hebrews 10:29 How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?

Disregarding his testimony
Nehemiah 9:30 For many years you were patient with them. By your Spirit you warned them through your prophets. Yet they paid no attention, so you gave them into the hands of the neighbouring peoples.

The result of being one of those described by Jesus in John 14:23
Mark 16:20 Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.

So there it is for all whom are not blind to see

What are those who claim to be Christians doing when they abuse those whom are being led by the Holy Spirit?

They are abusing the Holy Spirit of God and thereby they are abusing also the Father, his Son Jesus, and the true Christians they live with.

My calling is to mobilise the Churches for Spiritual Warfare – the battle between the desires of the human Flesh and the desires of the Holy Spirit of God. Why does Jesus call Christless Christians – Evildoers

mikehill4jesus “Why does Jesus call Christless Christians – Evildoers”

Because they refuse to do what God commands them to do!

29th November 2017 (33.03) My .mp3 audio Podcast linked to this Blog

God is infinitely benevolent, and unconverted sinners are supremely selfish; so that they are radically opposed to God. Their committal to the gratification of their appetites and propensities is known in Bible language as the “carnal mind”, or, as in the margin, “the minding of the flesh,” which is enmity against God.

This enmity is voluntary, and must be overcome, if at all, by the Word of God, made effectual by the teaching of the Holy Spirit.

The Gospel is adapted to this end, and when wisely presented we may confidently expect the effectual co-operation of the Holy Spirit. This is implied in our commission, “Go and disciple all nations, and lo! I am with you always, even to the end of the world.”

Sinners must be convicted of their enmity. They do not know God, and consequently are often ignorant of the opposition of their hearts to Him. “By the law is the knowledge of sin,” because by the law the sinner gets his first true idea of God. By the law he first learns that God is perfectly benevolent, and infinitely opposed to all selfishness. This law, then, should be arrayed in all its majesty against the selfishness and enmity of the sinner.

This law carries irresistible conviction of its righteousness, and no moral agent can doubt it.

All men know that they have sinned, but all are not convicted of the guilt and ill desert of sin. The many are careless and do not feel the burden of sin, the horrors and terrors of remorse, and have not a sense of condemnation and of being lost.

But without this they cannot understand or appreciate the Gospel method of salvation. One cannot intelligently and heartily ask or accept a pardon until he sees and feels the fact and justice of his condemnation.

To believe that God will allow you to go about your life doing evil to Him and to Humans, is to say that God is unjust and an evildoer towards the Sinners Victims.

Now Christless Christians, John 14:24, are a danger to us all.

In the past I have shared my opinion that people, in general, do not want the Lord Jesus as their Saviour. When you consider how much is written about the Lord Jesus, some going back 1,000’s of years. Why is there so little testimony about him living with his disciples? Why are there not 1,000’s of people visibly obeying his teachings? Why do I not have any Christian friends?

Antinomians are a great example of why there are Christless Christians
a person who believes that Christians are released by grace from the obligation of observing the moral law.

The word antinomianism comes from the Greek anti, against, and nomos, law. It is the unbiblical practice of living without regard to the righteousness of God, using God’s grace as a license to sin, and trusting grace to cleanse of sin. In other words, since grace is infinite and we are saved by grace, then we can sin all we want and still be saved. It is wrong because even though as Christians we are not under the Law (Rom. 6:14), we still fulfil the Law in the Law of love (Rom. 13:8, 10; Gal. 5:14; 6:2). We are to love God with all our heart, soul, strength, and mind, and our neighbour as ourselves (Luke 10:27) and, thereby, avoid the offense of sin which cost God His only begotten Son. Paul speaks against the concept of antinomianism in Rom. 6:1-2: “Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?” We are not to use the grace of God as a means of sin. Instead, we are to be controlled by the love of God and in that way bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Gal. 5:22-25).

The secret of overcoming the hatred of the evil as wickedness increases.
The Lord Jesus said, “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”

The Destruction of the Temple and Signs of the End Times
Matthew 24 Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. 2 “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”

3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumours of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.

9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

False Prophets
Matthew 7:15 ‘Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognise them. Do people pick grapes from thorn-bushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognise them.

True and false disciples
21 ‘Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord,” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?” 23 Then I will tell them plainly, “I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!”

False Christians
Use the Holy Bible, but do not add proven testimony from their own life and experience, John 14:23, to prove the Bible Passage is true.
John 14:23 Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.’

My calling is to mobilise the Churches for Spiritual Warfare – the battle between the desires of the human Flesh and the desires of the Holy Spirit of God. So far, after 40 years, the Church Doors are firmly closed against me here in Birmingham, England, and elsewhere. My hope is that some may be opened soon.

The Father wants these people to be saved. Jesus wants them to be saved. The Holy Spirit wants them to be saved. Those who witness for Jesus’ (John 14:23) want them to be saved. Angels in heaven want them to be saved.

CHRISTLESS CHRISTIANS ARE IMPENITENT SINNERS WHO DON’T WANT TO BE SAVED!

To give you an example from my own life, I have added these WebPages. They are not aimed at obtaining your approval, for I already have the approval of God. But as a testimony to the truth.

Acts 23:11 The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, ‘Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.’

Video Published on Jun 16, 2013

Paul, speaking of how he became an Apostle – a Witness for Jesus

Acts 22:6 ‘About noon as I came near Damascus, suddenly a bright light from heaven flashed around me. 7 I fell to the ground and heard a voice say to me, “Saul! Saul! Why do you persecute me?”

8 ‘“Who are you, Lord?” I asked.

‘“I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. 9 My companions saw the light, but they did not understand the voice of him who was speaking to me.

10 ‘“What shall I do, Lord?” I asked.

‘“Get up,” the Lord said, “and go into Damascus. There you will be told all that you have been assigned to do.” 11 My companions led me by the hand into Damascus, because the brilliance of the light had blinded me.

12 ‘A man named Ananias came to see me. He was a devout observer of the law and highly respected by all the Jews living there. 13 He stood beside me and said, “Brother Saul, receive your sight!” And at that very moment I was able to see him.

14 ‘Then he said: “The God of our ancestors has chosen you to know his will and to see the Righteous One and to hear words from his mouth. 15 You will be his witness to all people of what you have seen and heard. 16 And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptised and wash your sins away, calling on his name.”

17 ‘When I returned to Jerusalem and was praying at the temple, I fell into a trance 18 and saw the Lord speaking to me. “Quick!” he said. “Leave Jerusalem immediately, because the people here will not accept your testimony about me.”

19 ‘“Lord,” I replied, “these people know that I went from one synagogue to another to imprison and beat those who believe in you. 20 And when the blood of your martyr [Or witness] Stephen was shed, I stood there giving my approval and guarding the clothes of those who were killing him.”

21 ‘Then the Lord said to me, “Go; I will send you far away to the Gentiles [the non-Jews].”’

Notice the ones involved and how the communications were concise and to the point. More importantly, how the Lord took the lead and Saul and Ananias obeyed him. Not the other way round! The people had the chance to accept the truth of Saul’s testimony about the Lord Jesus, but they did not.

Paul, he was no longer called Saul, being abused for telling the truth about his call to be a witness for Jesus

Acts 23:1 Paul looked straight at the Sanhedrin and said, ‘My brothers, I have fulfilled my duty to God in all good conscience to this day.’ 2 At this the high priest Ananias ordered those standing near Paul to strike him on the mouth. 3 Then Paul said to him, ‘God will strike you, you whitewashed wall! You sit there to judge me according to the law, yet you yourself violate the law by commanding that I be struck!’

4 Those who were standing near Paul said, ‘How dare you insult God’s high priest!’

5 Paul replied, ‘Brothers, I did not realise that he was the high priest; for it is written: “Do not speak evil about the ruler of your people.”’

6 Then Paul, knowing that some of them were Sadducees and the others Pharisees, called out in the Sanhedrin, ‘My brothers, I am a Pharisee, descended from Pharisees. I stand on trial because of the hope of the resurrection of the dead.’ 7 When he said this, a dispute broke out between the Pharisees and the Sadducees, and the assembly was divided. 8 (The Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, and that there are neither angels nor spirits, but the Pharisees believe all these things.)

9 There was a great uproar, and some of the teachers of the law who were Pharisees stood up and argued vigorously. ‘We find nothing wrong with this man,’ they said. ‘?What if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?’ 10 The dispute became so violent that the commander was afraid Paul would be torn to pieces by them. He ordered the troops to go down and take him away from them by force and bring him into the barracks.

11 The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, ‘Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.’

The plot to kill Paul

12 The next morning some Jews formed a conspiracy and bound themselves with an oath not to eat or drink until they had killed Paul. 13 More than forty men were involved in this plot. 14 They went to the chief priests and the elders and said, ‘We have taken a solemn oath not to eat anything until we have killed Paul. 15 Now then, you and the Sanhedrin petition the commander to bring him before you on the pretext of wanting more accurate information about his case. We are ready to kill him before he gets here.’

16 But when the son of Paul’s sister heard of this plot, he went into the barracks and told Paul.

17 Then Paul called one of the centurions and said, ‘Take this young man to the commander; he has something to tell him.’ 18 So he took him to the commander.

The centurion said, ‘Paul, the prisoner, sent for me and asked me to bring this young man to you because he has something to tell you.’

19 The commander took the young man by the hand, drew him aside and asked, ‘?What is it you want to tell me?’

20 He said: ‘Some Jews have agreed to ask you to bring Paul before the Sanhedrin tomorrow on the pretext of wanting more accurate information about him. 21 Don’t give in to them, because more than forty of them are waiting in ambush for him. They have taken an oath not to eat or drink until they have killed him. They are ready now, waiting for your consent to their request.’?

22 The commander dismissed the young man with this warning: ‘Don’t tell anyone that you have reported this to me.’

Paul transferred to Caesarea

23 Then he called two of his centurions and ordered them, ‘Get ready a detachment of two hundred soldiers, seventy horsemen and two hundred spearmen to go to Caesarea at nine tonight. 24 Provide horses for Paul so that he may be taken safely to Governor Felix.’

25 He wrote a letter as follows:

26 Claudius Lysias,

To His Excellency, Governor Felix:

Greetings.

27 This man was seized by the Jews and they were about to kill him, but I came with my troops and rescued him, for I had learned that he is a Roman citizen. 28 I wanted to know why they were accusing him, so I brought him to their Sanhedrin. 29 I found that the accusation had to do with questions about their law, but there was no charge against him that deserved death or imprisonment. 30 When I was informed of a plot to be carried out against the man, I sent him to you at once. I also ordered his accusers to present to you their case against him.

31 So the soldiers, carrying out their orders, took Paul with them during the night and brought him as far as Antipatris. 32 The next day they let the cavalry go on with him, while they returned to the barracks. 33 When the cavalry arrived in Caesarea, they delivered the letter to the governor and handed Paul over to him. 34 The governor read the letter and asked what province he was from. Learning that he was from Cilicia, 35 he said, ‘I will hear your case when your accusers get here.’ Then he ordered that Paul be kept under guard in Herod’s palace.

Notice how the hatred of Paul by those Jews was openly seen by others. A true witness for the Lord never operates in secret, therefore, the opposition is also public.

The Witness of the Holy Spirit.

1 John 5:6 This is the one who came by water and blood – Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.
[It is He, the Holy Spirit of God, who confirms the truth about all witnesses for God. Nobody can be a witness for God without the Holy Spirit of God.]

7 For there are three that testify: 8 the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. 9 We accept human testimony, but God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son.
[No human can claim to be a true witness unless the Holy Spirit publically confirms it.]

Borne to Christ.
[Meaning of borne in this context: 2 Peter 1:21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.]

Jesus as the Messiah.
Luke 3:22 and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: ‘You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.’
with
John 1:32 Then John gave this testimony: ‘I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him. 33 And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptise with water told me, “The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptise with the Holy Spirit.”
[God gives precise information to those involved in carrying out the will of God. Unlike religious instruction that is dressed up to seem true.]

As coming to redeem and sanctify.
1 John 5:6 This is the one who came by water and blood – Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.
[The Holy Spirit is God and cannot tell lies or be deceitful.]

As exalted to be a Prince and Saviour to give repentance, etc.
Acts 5:31 God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Saviour that he might bring Israel to repentance and forgive their sins. 32 We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.’
[God is seen here operating for the good of mankind, because God is perfectly good willing and benevolent. He chooses those who will witness this. Notice how they receive the Holy Spirit as a result of their obedience to the commands of God. In addition, the Lord’s witnesses are publically seen, as is the rejection of them by the enemies of God in religion – even called a Christian religion.]

As perfecting saints.
Hebrews 10:14 For by one sacrifice he has made perfect for ever those who are being made holy. 15 The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:
[16
‘This is the covenant I will make with them
after that time, says the Lord.
I will put my laws in their hearts,
and I will write them on their minds.’
17 Then he adds:
‘Their sins and lawless acts
I will remember no more.’
18 And where these have been forgiven, sacrifice for sin is no longer necessary.

The key word here is “perfect”, for how can a person be made perfect if they are not also made holy. Notice how false Christians constantly make excuses for their evildoing, usually by lying. The true witness never lies, but acts in perfect honesty as the Holy Spirit does!]

As foretold by himself.
The work of the Holy Spirit. John 15:26 ‘When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father – the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father – he will testify about me.
[Only those the Lord Jesus describes in John 14:23 are given the Holy Spirit by the Father. Those described in John 14:24 cannot, and do not, receive the Holy Spirit. It is these disobedient people who reject the Witness and the Holy Spirit for all to see. They cannot hide their evildoing!]

In heaven.
1 John 5:7 For there are three that testify: 8 the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. 9 We accept human testimony, but God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son. 10 Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. 11 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
[Christless Christians claim to believe in Jesus and thereby claim the rewards. Yet how can they believe in Jesus if they refuse to love and obey him? How can they claim to be ordained by God, when they persecute the Witnesses and the Holy Spirit, and also the Father and the Lord Jesus, who live with and in the Witnesses? They can’t, they can only lie.]

On earth.
1 John 5:8 the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.
[All the world can see the Witness, they are always noticeable, because they have the Holy Spirit acting with them.]

The first preaching of the gospel confirmed by.
Acts 14:3 So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders.
with
Hebrews 2:4 God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.
[The true Witness is always confirmed by the actions of the Holy Spirit. Even if the Witness operates with no human support, God the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit are present. My own testimony proves this!]

The faithful preaching of the Apostles accompanied by.
1 Corinthians 2:4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power,
and
1 Thessalonians 1:5 because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake.
[The Spirit’s power can never be hidden. No matter what the actions of God’s enemies, the power is seen. The Witness operates in their Community, though God may withhold his blessings due to the Communities lack of faith – trust in Jesus.]

Given to saints
John 14:23 Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.’
[Those described in verse 23 are the Saints.]

On believing.
Acts 15:8 God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us.
and
1 John 5:10 Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son.
[Though people can claim to be of God, God knows the truth about them. He sees how they act against Him and his Witnesses because they are Children of the Devil and there is no truth in them. They do not have the Holy Spirit of God!]

To testify to them of Christ.
The work of the Holy Spirit. John 15:26 ‘When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father – the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father – he will testify about me.
[The Witnesses of God are sustained in power and truth by the Holy Spirit given to them by the Father of the Lord Jesus. No matter what the opposition against them, the Power of God never leaves them. It’s a wonderful experience that the ungodly never have.]

As an evidence of adoption.
Romans 8:16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.
[The Christless Christian lives constantly without the Holy Spirit. Not for them the perfect relationship with God that only His Children can have.]

As an evidence of Christ in them.
1 John 3:24 The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: we know it by the Spirit he gave us.
[The Christless Christian does not keep the Commands of God, therefore, they cannot the Spirit. They may, and often do, claim to be members of the Body of Christ. Yet they are not! They cannot show evidence of the Spirit in their being. They build their Churches on sand, not rock.]

As an evidence of God in them.
1 John 4:13 This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: he has given us of his Spirit.
[Union with Christ! That is the true evidence that every witness of God has.]

Borne against all unbelievers.
Nehemiah 9:30 For many years you were patient with them. By your Spirit you warned them through your prophets. Yet they paid no attention, so you gave them into the hands of the neighbouring peoples.
and
Acts 28:25 They disagreed among themselves and began to leave after Paul had made this final statement: ‘The Holy Spirit spoke the truth to your ancestors when he said through Isaiah the prophet:
26
‘“Go to this people and say,
‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding;
you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.’
27
For this people’s heart has become calloused;
they hardly hear with their ears,
and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
hear with their ears,
understand with their hearts
and turn, and I would heal them.” [Isaiah 6:9,10]
[I have been a witness for Jesus since 1977, and as of this time, I do not have a single friend who is a Christian Leader. Leaders of what is called the Christian Church, but it is not, shunning me completely. Thus they shun God who sent me to help them.]

TO REJECT WITNESSES FOR THE LORD JESUS IS TO ACT AGAINST THE WILL OF HIS FATHER!

God uses those who are certain about Jesus

mikehill4jesus “God uses those who are certain about Jesus”

11th November 2017 (54.23) My .mp3 audio Podcast linked to this Blog

Jesus stated plainly, John 6:38 ‘For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.’

His Father lovingly responds to those who truly love and obeys Him. John 14:23 Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.’

Mike, I envy your certainty!

Words spoken to me many years ago by a Christian Mission Leader. A certainty about my Lord and Saviour that has stood me in good stead these past 69 years.
John 14:23 Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.’

So often we see Professing Christians with little Biblical Education and no Spiritual Experience – A baptism of the Holy Spirit – being placed into a leadership position. With the result that the Organisation they work for makes little progress. Instead, they promote Christless Christianity as described in John 14:24.

This is an excerpt from the teachings of Charles Finney (with comments by me)

30. To be successful in winning souls, we need to be observing–to study individual character, to press the facts of experience, observation, and revelation upon the consciences of all classes.

[I have been doing this for 40 years.]

31. Be sure to explain the terms you use. Before I was converted, I failed to hear the terms repentance, faith, regeneration, and conversion intelligibly explained. Repentance was described as a feeling. Faith was represented as an intellectual act or state, and not as a voluntary act of trust. Regeneration was represented as some physical change in the nature, produced by the direct power of the Holy Ghost, instead of a voluntary change of the ultimate preference of the soul, produced by the spiritual illumination of the Holy Ghost. Even conversion was represented as being the work of the Holy Ghost in such a sense as to cover up the fact that it is the sinner’s own act, under the persuasions of the Holy Ghost.

[This is why the Holy Spirit led me to produce my website, that people could see through my Testimony how this worked. I purposely avoided simply quoting the Bible alone, I aimed to show the truth in action, with warts and all.]

32. Urge the fact that repentance involves the voluntary and actual renunciation of all sin; that it is a radical change of mind toward God.

[I show, through my proven Testimony, the 3 stages of my conversion 1948-2017: My 29 year journey to the Cross. My time at the Cross. My 40 year journey after the Cross, up to the present day.]

33. Also the fact that saving faith is heart trust in Christ; that it works by love, it purifies the heart, and overcomes the world; that no faith is saving that has not these attributes.

[If the teacher cannot produce the Cake, how can you know they are able to teach how to make it? I observe so many Professing Christians who are unable to produce good Spiritual fruit. The Fruit of the Holy Spirit is a biblical term that sums up nine attributes of a person or community living in accord with the Holy Spirit according to the Epistle to the Galatians: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”]

34. The sinner is required to put forth certain mental acts. What these are he needs to understand. Error in mental philosophy but embarrasses, and may fatally deceive the inquiring soul. Sinners are often put upon a wrong track. They are put upon a strain to feel instead of putting forth the required acts of will. Before my conversion I never received from man any intelligible idea of the mental acts that God required of me.

[In my experience, I would witness Churches where the members were repeatedly led to act in certain ways that did not come from them through the Holy Spirit. In fact, many sat in the same seat on every visit. The leaders were always putting words into their mouths, “Isn’t it good to be worshipping God?” and some members calling out “Amen!” Churchianity in Action?

35. The deceitfulness of sin renders the inquiring soul exceedingly exposed to delusion; therefore it behoves teachers to beat about every bush, and to search out every nook and corner where a soul can find a false refuge. Be so thorough and discriminating as to render it as nearly impossible as the nature of the case will admit that the inquirer should entertain a false hope.

[I know Church Leaders who on discovering my Ministry in the Spirit shun me without shame, though they always look guilty. It’s as if their Church is their personal “Hidey-hole”.]

36. Do not fear to be thorough. Do not through false pity put on a plaster where the probe is needed. Do not fear that you shall discourage the convicted sinner, and turn him back, by searching him out to the bottom. If the Holy Spirit is dealing with him, the more you search and probe the more impossible it will be for the soul to turn back or rest in sin.

[It’s a sad fact that not even the perfect Lord Jesus could win lost souls for God. Not when in person on this earth or through his life in the true Disciple John 14:23. Many evildoers in the Church are Impenitent Sinners and have resisted the Holy Spirit for so long, the Spirit no longer works on them. It’s a sad thing to see long-time Professing Christians living a life that is in darkness.]

Those described in John 14:23 have a faith that is centred on the Lord Jesus Christ. First he was revealed to them through bible study illuminated by the Holy Spirit of God. This new-found faith then results in them learning about and then responding positively to the Gospel of Jesus. Then in turn, the Father God responds to their resulting love for his Son that involves loving obedience to his teaching. He and the Lord Jesus come and make their home with that person through the Holy Spirit.

Those described in John 14:24 do not have this faith, therefore, do not have a love for Jesus, do not receive the Fathers love, do not have them living with them, do not have the Holy Spirit. In fact, they hate the Lord Jesus! Their love is only for themselves – a selfish love caused by their “blind faith”.

True faith in the living Lord Jesus Christ is “NOT” blind faith.

There are professing Christians who confess that they can’t prove that God exists, they just have faith that he does. Many professing Christians do not have a real-life testimony of living with God to share. The just have a religious belief based on Church Teachings using there interpretation of certain selected parts of the Holy Bible. This is a problem for those Church Leaders within “Churchianity” – Christless Christians.

True Christian faith has to consist of a confidence in a fact or person based on previous experiences or knowledge of reliableness and consistency; a phenomenon of the will in obeying spiritual enlightenment, given upon repentance of sins and trusting Christ. It does not consist in embracing what is not understood. “Saving” faith is the life of God in the soul of man/woman resulting from a subjective experience founded upon objective truth. Scripture “Bible” does not teach “blind” faith.

You will have to excuse this video as it was produced back when I lacked the knowledge and hardware to do better. However, I have left it in, not only because of the content, but so that you can see me at that time. A true disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ learning how to witness for Him via videos. I have come a long way since then.

Jesus confronts Selfish Christians who continue to Sin

mikehill4jesus “Jesus confronts Selfish Christians who continue to Sin”

9th November 2017 (30.32) My .mp3 audio Podcast linked to this Blog

Selfish Christians who believe there is a God whom operates as a Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

However, they have not been taught the important Doctrines connected to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and sin of their selfishness. They join a Church and simply follow the Leadership of that Church. Now that’s fine if they are being taught correctly, but if we can believe our many experiences, many are not.

For a Minister such as myself, it is almost impossible to have an effect on these Christians. No matter that the Holy Spirit is in control of the situation, their unbelief and selfishness remain.

So why does the Holy Spirit still urge me to continue?

Well, read and study the following Bible Verses and Testimony to the truth. The problem is, how shall we win souls wholly to Christ? Certainly we must win them away from themselves. And I will teaching on this over the coming Blogs.

The Lord Jesus said in, Revelation 3:19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.

An Apostle wrote to true Believers in, Hebrews 12:6
because the Lord disciplines the one he loves,
and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.’ [Prov. 3:11,12]

7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? 8 If you are not disciplined – and everyone undergoes discipline – then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. 9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live! 10 They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness. 11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

The danger of reinforcing the Evildoing that is in A Christian Church

Inadvertently or not, are you helping and encouraging people to disobey the teachings of the Lord Jesus.
John 14:23 Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.’

So often we see Professing Christians with little Biblical Education and Spiritual Experience – A baptism of the Holy Spirit – being placed into a leadership position. With the result that the Membership are not won for Christ through His true Gospel. Instead, they produce Christless Christians as described in John 14:24.

The Apostle Paul said to a young Apostle called Timothy.
1 Timothy 4:16 “Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.”

[It’s very important to know that Timothy was not a newcomer to a Christian Church. He was a proven Believer of Jesus and had been baptised in the Holy Spirit and also had been given a Prophecy regarding his work in the true Body of Christ.]

1 Timothy 1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the command of God our Saviour and of Christ Jesus our hope,

2 To Timothy my true son in the faith:

Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

[Timothy was proven to be a lover of Jesus (John 14:23) and had been given a spiritual and practical ministry to do by the Leaders of Christ’s Spiritual Body. NOT BY CHURCHIANITY]

Timothy Charged to Oppose False Teachers

3 As I urged you [not ordered] when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain people not to teach false doctrines any longer 4 or to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. Such things promote controversial speculations rather than advancing God’s work—which is by faith. 5 The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. 6 Some have departed from these and have turned to meaningless talk. 7 They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm.

[That is the situation today in what we call “Churchianity”. Some may be saved, but they have started to disobey the teachings of Jesus given through the Holy Spirit of God.]

8 We know that the law is good if one uses it properly. 9 We also know that the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, 10 for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers—and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine 11 that conforms to the gospel concerning the glory of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.

[An important note: Those we call the “Christless Christians” are not Believers acting in error, that is easy to do. but are impenitent sinners acting in selfish disobedience to the leadings of the Holy Spirit of God. (John 14:24)]

The Lord’s Grace to Paul

12 I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me trustworthy, appointing me to his service. 13 Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. 14 The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

[We who are used by God, have this history in our lives. Our life before we were saved by our Lord Jesus. That is why we understand the needs of lost souls and also of saved souls who lack the necessary teachings.]

15 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. 16 But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. 17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

The Charge to Timothy Renewed

18 Timothy, my son, I am giving you this command in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by recalling them you may fight the battle well, 19 holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck with regard to the faith. 20 Among them are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan to be taught not to blaspheme.

[Notice how serious all this is and please take it on board, that you also may be saved along with those you seek to help.]

John Chapter 14 is the key to salvation. John Chapter 14:23, not 24. Behaving as the Lord Jesus describes in verse 24 places you against God and as with Hymenaeus and Alexander, at the mercy of Satan. There is a limit to how long the Holy Spirit will confront you before He gives up.

To give you an example from my own life, I have added these WebPages. They are not aimed at obtaining your approval, for I already have the approval of God. But as a testimony to the truth of Pauls’ teaching given to Timothy.

I will explain more in my next Blog (God willing)

Christless Christians persecute Jesus and his Disciples

mikehill4jesus “Christless Christians persecute Jesus and his Disciples”

3rd November 2017 (26.38) My .mp3 audio Podcast linked to this Blog

Why do you persecute me?
Before his conversion, Paul, then known as Saul, was a “zealous” Pharisee who “intensely persecuted” the followers of Jesus. Says Paul in his Epistle to the Galatians:
Galatians 1:13 ‘For you have heard of my previous way of life in Judaism, how intensely I persecuted the church of God and tried to destroy it.’

Acts 9:4 He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, ‘Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?’

5 ‘Who are you, Lord?’ Saul asked.

‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,’ he replied. 6 ‘Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.’

CHRISTLESS CHRISTIANS (John 14:24) SEEK TO DESTROY THE BODY OF CHRIST – THE TRUE CHURCH OF GOD

For them, those described in John 14:24, evildoing becomes a way of life. A way of life that will condemn them to Hell if they do not submit to the Lord Jesus and His perfect Gospel.

2 Corinthians 4:1-18 Present weakness and resurrection life

4:1 Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. 2 Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God. 3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. 6 For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ [Gen. 1:3] made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.

7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11 For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. 12 So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.

13 It is written: ‘I believed; therefore I have spoken.’ [Psalm 116:10] Since we have that same spirit of [Or Spirit-given] faith, we also believe and therefore speak, 14 because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself. 15 All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.

16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

But we who share in Christ’s sufferings do not do it alone. Not at all! We, who are in Christ and Him in Us, do it in the company of God.
John 14:23 Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

Like our Saviour, Jesus, we who are described in John 14:23, could ask our Father God to send Angels to save us from our suffering for Jesus. Yet we do not! Why do we not? Because God is suffering with us, the true Body of Christ, spiritually united with God, not Church membership.

Matthew 26:48 Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: ‘The one I kiss is the man; arrest him.’ 49 Going at once to Jesus, Judas said, ‘Greetings, Rabbi!’ and kissed him.

50 Jesus replied, ‘Do what you came for, friend.’ [Or ‘Why have you come, friend?’]

Then the men stepped forward, seized Jesus and arrested him. 51 With that, one of Jesus’ companions reached for his sword, drew it out and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.

52 ‘Put your sword back in its place,’ Jesus said to him, ‘for all who draw the sword will die by the sword. 53 Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? 54 But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?’

[We who are true Christians must suffer so that the Scriptures may be fulfilled. I was given a prophecy in 1987 that said we, my family and I, will go through years of suffering then God will raise us up nearer to Him. This came true as God used us, not us used God.]

55 In that hour Jesus said to the crowd, ‘Am I leading a rebellion, that you have come out with swords and clubs to capture me? Every day I sat in the temple courts teaching, and you did not arrest me.

We, who are described in John 14:23, are yoked with Jesus. Therefore, when we are persecuted, he is being persecuted also.

Matthew 11:25-30 The Father revealed in the Son

25 At that time Jesus said, ‘I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. 26 Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.

27 ‘All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

28 ‘Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.’

Christless Christians, who form their own versions of Churchianity, are truly PERSECUTORS of Christ Jesus and his Disciples. It is not my courage that keeps me witnessing, it is my knowledge of the soul destroying fate that awaits them and that I can help them find the truth that is in the Lord Jesus Christ.

In the words of the Apostle Paul, who was Saul, before he was saved. 1 Corinthians 9:16 ‘For when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast, since I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!’

2 Corinthians 2:16 ‘To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task?’
Those described by the Lord Jesus in John 14:23 and certainly not those described in verse 24!
