A report written by Louise Casey into Rotherham Council has found that it is still “in denial” about the child abuse scandal in the town, and that it is “not fit for purpose.”
Louise Casey was sent to inspect the council by Communities Secretary Eric Pickles. She said she found an organisation that had still not accepted that there was a problem. This report contains a video of Louise Casey speaking about her findings.
The key words are ‘still in denial’.
What causes a Council to allow children and their protectors to be abused, then refuse to accept what they did despite overwhelming evidence?
More worrying is that according to earlier reports, other Councils were/are allowing children and their protectors to be abused. Are they also in denial?
I thank my Lord that something is being done about it. If there is one thing we need in the UK it’s that people in power are brought to book for their wickedness towards our children. Not only that, but that other people in power are doing something positive about it in order for Councils to regain the trust of it’s Voters.
If such a thing is possible……
My City of Birmingham, England
I live in the City of Birmingham, England. While I have not heard of children being groomed for prostitution, there are still great causes for concern regarding it’s Children.
Here is an article about it.
I have lived in Birmingham since 1985 and I have suffered many time at the hands of Birmingham City Council employees. However, I have seen several noble efforts made by Birmingham Politicians to improve the city. The forces of evil that they face are powerful indeed and cannot be defeated without the help of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The City of Birmingham, England, is involved in a Spiritual Battle. At this time it would appear that evil is winning. However, while I am living in it, I will use all my spiritual and practical gifts to fight against those who live under the power of Satan and seek to continually harm the Citizens of Birmingham.
I do not know if Birmingham will ever be set free, and I have been living in it for 30 years with no loving support from Christians. What does encourage me, is that when I approach the politicians regarding abuse towards myself, my family and others, many have responded well. And for that they should be commended.
As the Apostle Paul taught followers of the Lord Jesus in a letter to a fellow Apostle:
1 Timothy 2 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time. 7 And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle—I am telling the truth, I am not lying—and a true and faithful teacher of the Gentiles.
I do indeed give thanks to God my Saviour for all those Politicians who have helped me and who allow me to stay in Birmingham and continue my ministry for the salvation of my City, Birmingham. They do so need my prayers as they do an, at times, thankless task.
I also pray for the religious Christians who seem devoid of the Holy Spirit of God, obtained by loving obedience towards the Lord Jesus Christ. That they will see that Social Work alone will not do. It is a spiritual battle against the powers of darkness under the leadership of the Devil that will benefit the citizens of Birmingham, not practical gifts. Lost Souls must be revealed for who they are – enemies of God and haters of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The City of Birmingham does not need feeding, clothing and teaching, it needs to be set free from the grip of evil that causes wickedness to breed and multiply.
As the Apostle Paul said – and it is still relevant today.
Present weakness and resurrection life
2 Corinthians 4 Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. 2 Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God. 3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. 6 For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’[a] made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.
7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11 For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. 12 So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.
13 It is written: ‘I believed; therefore I have spoken.’[b] Since we have that same spirit of[c] faith, we also believe and therefore speak, 14 because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself. 15 All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

The City of Birmingham is desperate for more True Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. True Disciples who are recognised by the power of God the Holy Spirit operating through them.
God will not let the Public Servants who refuse to allow children and adults protection to go unpunished. Thus they need to know about and understand the truth about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
