The Apostle Paul, a true disciple of the Lord Jesus, taught this:
Warning against idolatry
2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
Yet there are Christians and Others who live in a Grey World of compromise and pragmatism. They say, “Though we are different, we are all together because we have faith in Jesus.” The call them Faith Groups. Some cover up and protect those amongst them who do wicked things. They abuse victims by telling them, “Unless you forgive those who sin against you, you wont be forgiven by God.”
So these religious people operate their lives in opposition to the teachings of the Apostle, Paul.
Yet Paul was only passing on the teachings of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Jesus said, Matthew 11:28 ‘Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.’
So Group 1 are people who are yoked to Jesus, BUT, Group 2 are people who are not.
So how can people in Group 1 and people in Group 2 work together?
Well, obviously, they cant!
I have a webpage about being “Yoked to Christ” and as well as teaching it has a video I produced on this subject.
Being a true disciple of Jesus is more than having Bible Knowledge. It’s about also having a living experience of being yoked with Him 24/7. Going to Bible College is no substitute for Spiritual experience. Unless of course, you are in Group 1 and the Lord Jesus, whom you are yoked to, is taking you there to help him help them. As happened with me.
