My role as a Disciple of my Lord Jesus who has called me to witness to the truth about Him. (Go make Disciples) is like a Soldier sent into battle behind enemy lines.
There was a great line in Band of Brothers where one US Lieutenant was warning another US Lieutenant that they were going to be surrounded. His reply was, “It’s ok we are Paratroopers, we are supposed to be surrounded.”
The difference is that the Paratroopers were a Group of Soldiers who are supposed to be surrounded. Whereas I am a single Soldier of Christ who is suppose to be surrounded and I have no Comrades in Arms.
They had a degree of practical support for their task. Whereas I have no practical support only spiritual support. But that spiritual support comes from God. Not just any God or a God that I believe in but can’t prove. My Mighty God is proven as true simply because he lives with me 24/7. If there is a weak-link, it is me.
My God works as 3 persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit – with help from good Angels. I am a member of Christ’s Spiritual Body here on Earth that is made up of all His true Disciples. True, I have not met any where I live, but they are in the World and fighting against the Devil wherever their Lord has placed them. Fighting as Servants to rescue as many Lost Souls as they can.
In my fight against evil, I provide real testimony that backs up Jesus’ divine teaching and promises given to us in the Holy Bible.
As Jesus said in: John 14:11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. 12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. 14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. 15 If you love me, you will obey what I command. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counsellor to be with you forever– 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. (NIV holy bible)
Isn’t that fantastic?
Now, am I Right?
My work is not that easy to explain as most of what I do I have to keep confidential. I know what it is like to suffer as a result of ministerial gossip amongst church leaders! The Lord sends me to give messages to people or to do something for people often supported by signs and wonders. Not when I want to, but when the Holy Spirit empowers me according to Gods’ will. The times, places, and people involved have never ceased to amaze me.
Standing Against Defamers of God
I try to give a positive mental picture of Jesus’ true disciples whom make up the body of Christ world-wide. Disciples whom many, even in the churches, defame as wrong people just as our perfect Lord said they would in Matthew 10:24 A student is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. 25 It is enough for the student to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If the head of the house has been called Beelzebub, how much more the members of his household! (NIV holy bible)
Lost Souls Need Saving
Today, as ever, the Lord is sad and angry that many are rushing headlong through the wide gate and onto the broad road to destruction, Matthew 7:13. Even some whom call Jesus Lord but are not known by him, Matthew 7:21. Moreover, many people are driving them onward, Matthew 7:15, 26, 27. However, few are those whom are rushing headlong through the small gate that leads onto the narrow road to life, Matthew 7:14. Moreover, and this is important, few people are driving them onward, Matthew 7:24, 25.
The Holy Bible Alone is Not Enough
Today you have the Holy Bible as a tremendous source of testimony to the truth of Jesus Christ and his resurrection. All I can do is support it with my testimony. That the good Lord Jesus Christ never deserts us in our need but uses us to achieve things according to his Fathers divine purposes. I am part of today’s proof that he is alive and able to bring those whom love him through to safety no matter how blind, powerful, or obsessive opponents are.
“Who is this Living God?”
The God who lives in me is a mighty God in Three Persons. I know me and only a mighty living God could have saved me and brought me through to where I am today.
The God I worship is no mystical being who is up there, somewhere, to be called out to.
No! My mighty God is a Trinity of three persons in one Godhead, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. They have existed from eternity and these sacred Persons are co-equal, co-eternal and co-consubstantial; that is identical in essence though different in aspect. Each is possessed of the elements of personality, i.e. thought, feeling, conscience and will, so that there are three separate centres of consciousness, feeling and action within the Trinity. Yet, these together constitute one God. The Trinity is a truth superior to our understanding yet not contrary to our reason. For all three interact with the Lord’s true Disciple.
All three are omnipotent having unlimited or universal power, when applied to my God, his absolute power in the physical realm.
It should be noted however, that in the moral realm God has limited His own power by giving to man the power of free will, whereby he can act entirely according to his own dictates and violate his own intelligence and God’s will if he so chooses. The present state of the world is a graphic and tragic illustration of this fact.
Because of this self-imposed limitation on His power, God cannot do many things. He cannot make anyone love Him. When anyone attacks a disciple of Jesus, they are attacking God. Whatever the disciple and their family have to endure, God also endures it with them. There is no more sad and pathetic sight than people claiming to be God’s Leaders attacking the Lord and his Servant, as they did to Paul, a Soldier for Christ. But here we read the Lord’s response to such attacks. Acts 23:11 The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, ‘Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.’
The plot to kill Paul
12 The next morning some Jews formed a conspiracy and bound themselves with an oath not to eat or drink until they had killed Paul.
Omnipotence is a natural attribute of the Godhead in that it is an unchangeable fact concerning His being, as opposed to a moral attribute, which is a matter of choice.
They are omniscient, having infinite knowledge or understanding of all that is knowable, and omnipresent, present in all places at the same time.
They are proven from Scripture. Mt 3:16-17; Ro 8:9; 1 Co 12:3-6; Eph 4:4-6; 1 Pe 1:2; 1 Jn 5:7; Jude 1:20-21.
They have special Titles. Ex 20:2, with Jn 20:28 and Ac 5:3-4.
They are Eternal. Ro 16:26, with Rev 22:13 and Heb 9:14.
They are Holy. Rev 4:8; Rev 15:4, with Ac 3:14 and 1 Jn 2:20.
They are True. Jn 7:28, with Rev 3:7.
To the Father I am said to be His “son” or “child”, Jn 1:12-13, and never spoken of as His “brother”.
To the Son I am a “brother” or together with others “bride” Rom 8:29; Heb 2:11-12 and 17; Eph 5:23-32; Rev 19:7-9; 21:2-9; 22:17, and never called His “son”.
To the Holy Spirit I am never said to be in the relation of son, brother or bride. He is represented as Christ’s Deputy, or Vicegerent, or Representative. He indwells the temple of my body, 1 Cor 6:19. He builds the composite Temple of Christ formed of living stones, Eph 2:20-22. He acts as my Comforter, Councillor or Helper, Jn 14:16, but he never appears as my Father, Brother or Bridegroom.
As the relations of the Members of the Trinity with man are distinct, it follows that the Persons themselves must be separate. They address one another, as the Holy Bible records many conversations between them, Ps 2:7-9, alluded to by Christ Himself in Rev 2:27; Ps 22:1; 40:6-8; with Heb 10:5-10; Ps 110:1; Isa 49:3, 5-9; 50:4-9. Their acts while harmonious and related to a central design are also quite well defined. The Father sends the Son; the Son sends the Spirit, Jn 16:7.
My Lord God, Jesus Christ, lives forever! Rev 1:17-18 “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.”
My goal is to rescue Lost Souls from the power of the Devil. This is no easy work and involves being a suffering servant. In order to have any success I need the help of my God that I have just described.
I am provided with the armour of God as described by the Apostle Paul in his letter to the Ephesians.
Ephesians 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armour of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled round your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
Yes, I might get killed in the battle against Evil, but so did many Paratroopers die when surrounded. Many are laying in unmarked graves or were destroyed beyond recognition. But should it be my Lord’s will that I be killed in battle, my body will rot wherever it lays, but my Soul will be with my Lord in Heaven should he accept me as his true Disciple.
It is a true saying, “My times are in his hand.” Praise be to God for he is perfectly good.
Question. In the battle between good and evil, whose side are you on, the Lords (John 14:23) or the Devils (John 14:24)?
