The Punishment of Bad Christian Teachers

There are so many Teachers and Preachers in Christianity
How can the new Christian know which ones to trust?

The Internet is full of them and so many are just Christians with something to say. Others do it as it’s their Job in the Church. Some have undertaken Bible Study and been deemed qualified for the role.

However, though they often get things right, they also get things seriously, almost according to moral law, criminally wrong. In that they mislead people regarding what it is that the Lord Jesus wants teaching and preaching.

How to be spiritually successful!

The secret of all successful Spiritual Ministry and life is having a team of people who live daily in a close union with Christ Jesus and each other, John 13:34 ‘A new command I give you: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.’

This is impossible in Christianity as they are so divided up and believe in so many different things. Man’s thinking not Holy Spirit thinking. Is the Christian Church the Body of Christ?

God lays down the qualification for being the Lords disciple and the disqualification also, Jn 14:23 Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24 He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.”

Those Teachers and Preachers from verse 24 should be ignored as they do not have the anointing that those in verse 23 have. Also, how can they teach and preach those commands of the Lord Jesus Christ, when they do not obey them? They can’t and in fact they teach disobedience.

Who should be doing the Teaching and Preaching?

Acts 6:

The Choosing of the Seven

1 In those days when the number of disciples was increasing, the Hellenistic Jews[a] among them complained against the Hebraic Jews because their widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food. 2 So the Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, “It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables. 3 Brothers and sisters, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility
over to them 4 and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.”

5 This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit; also Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to Judaism. 6 They presented these men to the apostles, who prayed and laid their hands on them.

7 So the word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith.

To claim to be a Christian Minister for God while at the same time disobeying the Lord Jesus’ teachings and commands is wickedness and will be punished by the Lord.

Even the Teachers and Preachers in John 14:23 need to take care.

James 3:

Taming the tongue

1 Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.

2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may
receive what is due to us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

So what do we make of Christian Bible Teachers who say, “You wont be punished for current sins because God lays the punishment on his Son, Jesus Christ.”

How then can we be judged and punished by the Lord Jesus for the bad that we do as believers, if he has already been punished for our wickedness? They don’t understand the need for obedience to Christ Jesus!

To me, the problem with so many Christian Teachers and Preachers is that they do not have union with the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore they do not have the Holy Spirit of God teaching, counselling and empowering them.

John 14:23 Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.’

They teach as people described in John 14:24 – disobedient lost souls destined for Hell.

Their God is a God that comes out of their understanding of the Holy Bible. As does their Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ. To them, the Holy Spirit is a power that they call on when needed. They even put the responsibility for them being obedient onto the Lord Jesus Christ. “Lord make us obedient to you!” They even have the cheek to tell the Lord what to do. “Lord send your Holy Spirit that we may…..” They even pray for God to send revival when they themselves clear disobey his Moral Law.

John 14:

Jesus promises the Holy Spirit

15 ‘If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you for ever – 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be [and is] in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Before long, the world will not see me any more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 On that day you will realise that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.’

Thus everything that they Teach and Preach comes out of their knowledge and understand with absolutely no input from God the Holy Spirit. Why, because they do not have the Lord and his Father making their home with them. They are just Religious!

1 Timothy 1:7 They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm.

Proverbs 3:
5
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight. [Or will direct your paths]

This problem with bad Teachers and Preachers is nothing new.  They do not trust the Lord Jesus. They lean on their own understanding. They stubbornly refuse to submit to Him. Therefore, he does not direct their paths (The Blind leading the Blind). They also lack understanding about the purpose and role of God the Holy Spirit as taught by the Lord Jesus himself.

John 14:25 ‘All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.’

To claim to be a Minister for God, but not have both union with Christ Jesus and his Father nor been given the Holy Spirit of God by the Lord, is to be greatly mistaken. You are simply a chosen member of a religious group who are as blind to the truth of Jesus Christ as you are.

That is why you distance yourself from the true Ministers of God as described in John 14:23. Who says so, the Father says so. The Lost

Now is the time for many Christians to repent of their disobedience and seek the Lords Salvation as described in The Gospel of Jesus.
