It’s not complicated!
The Lordship of Jesus Christ and Christianity
John 14:23 Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.’
It’s not complicated. This first group are friends of God and Mankind. They have God living with them.
24 ‘Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.’
It’s not complicated. This second group are not friends of God and Mankind. They do NOT have God living with them.
It’s not complicated. The Lord Jesus teaches in Matthew 12:30 ‘Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.’ This group are not with the Lord Jesus, they appose Him – They are His enemy.
It’s not complicated. The Lord Jesus teaches in John 14:25 “All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
There is truly no excuse for any Christian to be living in ignorance. However, many are. Why? Because they do not love the Lord Jesus and therefore do not have the Holy Spirit helping them.
The Professing Christians who are not friends of God and Mankind, are clearly unconverted and therefore living in darkness.
Charles Finney wrote. The impression of many seems to be, that grace will pardon what it cannot prevent; in other words, that if the grace of the Gospel fails to save people from the commission of sin in this life; it will nevertheless pardon them and save them in sin, if it cannot save them from sin. Now, really, I understand the Gospel as teaching that men are saved from sin first, and as a consequence, from hell; and not that they are saved from hell while they are not saved from sin. Christ sanctifies when he saves. And this is the very first element or idea of salvation, saving from sin. “Thou shall call his name Jesus,” said the angel, “for he shall save his people from their sins.” “Having raised up his Son Jesus,” says the apostle, “he hath sent him to bless you in turning every one of you from his iniquities.” Let no one expect to be saved from hell, unless the grace of the Gospel saves him first from sin.
The sad thing is, that no matter what the Holy Spirit does to help them to be saved, they remain lost souls – Haters of God and Mankind. Professing to be Christian for selfish reasons. Wanting to use God for their own ends. Christians who are wrong
It’s not complicated. Further teaching of the Lord Jesus on this subject. Teaching that these selfish Christians wilfully ignore.
Listen to The Lord Jesus
The Lord Jesus Himself states just how hard it is for a person to enter Eternal Life with God. However, thanks be to God that we can ask Him for help and receive it.
BUT, our loving Lord gives us all a warning, “Watch out for false prophets.”
The aim of my website is to help you to find that narrow gate. To counter the teachings of the false prophets that seek to herd you through the wide gate that leads to Hell.
7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
9 “Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognise them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognise them.
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
28 When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, 29 because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.
God provides ministers for these Christians who are right.
Jeremiah 3:15 Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding.
Ephesians 4:11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. 14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
These True Ministers, who live in Christ and are yoked to Him and are empowered by the Holy Spirit of God, are rejected and unloved by the unconverted Christians.
True Christians ascribe glory to God.
Ephesians 3:21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
