The Lord Jesus talks about those who do not love Him.

BE SURE OF THIS CHRISTIAN – THE LORD JESUS KNOWS IF YOU LOVE HIM OR HATE HIM

Promises and warnings from the Lord Jesus Christ

The Lord Jesus always speaks plainly and to the point.
Revelation 3:19 ‘Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.’

Matthew 7:13-14
The narrow and wide gates
13 ‘Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

He also describes the people who are on the Narrow and Broad roads

John 14:23 Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. [Those on the narrow road to heaven] 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. [Those on the broad road to hell] These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.’

Matthew 7:24-27
The Wise and Foolish Builders
24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

So why are there Christians who do not obey the Lord Jesus Christ?

Clearly, they do not fear Him as he is not their Lord and Saviour!

I have previously written and spoken about the Selfish Christians and it’s worth repeating. These are the Professing Christians who journey on the Broad Road that leads to the Wide Gate and into Hell.

Dying to Selfishness
Galatians 2:19 ‘For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!’

To enter heaven, a Christian has to live for God, not for themselves. When Jesus died on the cross, so did the Christian, thus having Jesus living in them. Why then would the Lord Jesus want them to carry on sinning?

The Christian is saved by God’s grace, in order that through the Holy Spirit, they might live obediently with God the Father and God the Son – the Lord Jesus Christ.

A Christians’ salvation involves loving obedience to the teaching of their Lord and Saviour.

Christians’ who do not obey the Lord and Saviour, are not saved.

The 3 classes of professing Christians:

1. The true friends of God and man. [Saved by being born-again]

2. Those who are actuated by hope and fear, or in other words, by self-love or by selfishness. [Are Unsaved]

3. Those who are actuated by public opinion. [Are Unsaved]

These three classes may be known by attending to the characteristic developments which show what is the leading design in their religion. It needs not be proved, that persons may set out in religion from very different motives, some from real love to religion, and some from other motives. The differences may be arranged in these three classes, and by attending to the development of their real design in becoming religious, you learn their characters. They all profess to be servants of God, and yet by observing the lives of many, it becomes manifest that instead of their being God’s servants they are only trying to make God their servant. Their leading aim and object is to secure their own salvation, or some other advantage for themselves, through the medium of the favour of God. They are seeking to make God their friend, that they may make use of him to serve their own turn.

It was not by accident that the dispensation of law [Moral Law] preceded the dispensation of grace; but it is in the natural order of things, in accordance with established mental laws, and evermore the law must prepare the way for the Gospel. That Selfish Christian Leaders overlook this when instructing souls is almost certain to result in false hope, the introduction of a false standard of Christian experience [often called Churchianity], and to fill the church with spurious converts. Time will make this plain.

TIME HAS MADE THIS ABUNDANTLY CLEAR

These spiritually unconverted Christian Leaders can’t do that!

They can’t win Lost Souls to Christ Jesus the Lord. They can only win Lost Souls to their version of Christianity – Churchianity.

Please believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is not tolerant of open disobedience!
