When Evildoers use Christianity, they change it to Churchianity. A form of Christian Religion based on Selfishness.
The Lord Jesus said, Matthew 7:13 ‘Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.’

The True Church of Jesus Christ consists of those He describes in John 14:23 Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.

However, there are many calling themselves, Christian, whom He describes in John 14:24 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. He then reinforces His teaching by saying These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.’

So, where do we find those the Lord describes in John 14:23? Well, if we look at Matthew 7:14 again, He tells us ‘But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.’ There are not many! It’s estimated there are 2.2 billion professing Christians on this planet. Add to them the professing Christians of the past 2,000+ years. And you have to ask, “Are they a few?

The woman and the dragon
Revelation 12:1 A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. 2 She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. 3 Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. 4 Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born. 5 She gave birth to a son, a male child, who ‘will rule all the nations with an iron sceptre.’ [Psalm 2:9] And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne. 6 The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.

7 Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8 But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9 The great dragon was hurled down – that ancient snake called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: ‘Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.

11 They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

12 Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.’

13 When the dragon saw that he had been hurled to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child. 14 The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the snake’s reach. 15 Then from his mouth the snake spewed water like a river, to overtake the woman and sweep her away with the torrent. 16 But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. 17 Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring – those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.

The Importance of Having a True Testimony
Here we have in v11, true followers of the Lord Jesus Christ triumphing over the Devil by BOTH the blood of Jesus shed for them at Calvary and the word of their TESTIMONY. In v17, these two things had OBEDIENCE to God’ commands added – Christians in general, especially within the Evangelical tradition, use the term “testify” or “to give one’s testimony” to mean “the story of how one became a Christian”. Commonly it may refer to a specific event in a Christian’s life in which they believe God has done something deemed particularly worth sharing.

Unconverted Professing Christians
A problem comes about in CHRISTIANITY where TESTIMONY is about becoming a Christian, NOT proving that the GOSPEL of JESUS is true, John 14:23.

The Aberfan Disaster
An example of how Human Testimony can help us to see and remember the truth. The video had me in tears as it showed the victims relatives then and now. Plus the eyes and body language of the rescuers.

The Aberfan disaster was a catastrophic collapse of a colliery spoil tip in the Welsh village of Aberfan, near Merthyr Tydfil, on 21 October 1966, which killed 116 children and 28 adults. It was caused by a build-up of water in the accumulated rock and shale, which suddenly started to slide downhill in the form of slurry (In this case a semi-liquid mixture, typically of fine particles of coal and water.)

Over 40,000 cubic metres of debris covered the village in minutes. The classrooms at Pantglas Junior School were immediately inundated; young children and teachers died from impact or suffocation. Many noted the poignancy of the situation: if the disaster had struck a few minutes earlier, the children would not have been in their classrooms, and if it had struck a few hours later, the school would have broken up for half-term.

Great rescue efforts were made, but the large numbers who crowded into the village tended to hamper the work of the trained rescue teams, and delayed the arrival of mine rescue workers from the Merthyr Vale Colliery. Only a few lives could be saved in any case. A dead teacher was found holding the dead bodies of four 5 year old children.

The official inquiry blamed the National Coal Board for extreme negligence, and its Chairman, Lord Robens, for making misleading statements. Parliament soon passed new legislation about public safety in relation to mines and quarries. The testimony showed the wickedness of some Public Service Leaders.

The heart breaking Video about the disaster. The Aberfan Young Wives’ Club is an uplifting testament to community spirit and human resilience
