To Validate: check or prove the validity or accuracy of (something).
How does the Holy Spirit of God do this?
John 14:23 Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.’
There are many Professing Christians, people who claim to be Christian, who are members of many very different forms of Christianity. All forms of Christianity use a Church or Fellowship Model. They all use the Holy Bible, yet interpret it in many different ways. In fact, even a single Church or Fellowship can have different groups in the membership or congregation.
I produced a video on this matter of interpretation. And a Blog on the many forms, or versions, of Christianity.
In the Holy Bible, the early followers of the Lord Jesus came from the Jewish Religion – Jesus was a Jew! After He rose again from the dead, He used his Jewish followers to tell people of all nations about Himself and what God had done through Him. Because so many Jews refused to become His followers. He then used both Jews and Non-Jews to go out and make new Disciples.
Now here is a problem!
Among the followers were false disciples and these formed what is now known as Christianity. A name given to them by non-followers of the Lord Jesus. Thus you then had two groups:
1. Those people spiritually converted in response to the Gospel of Jesus and thus becoming members of Christ’s Spiritual Body here on Earth.
2. Those people who were not spiritually converted became members of whatever version of Christianity they chose – they joined a Church or Fellowship.
So for most of the past 2,000 years, people joined this Christianity that shunned those Followers of the Lord Jesus who were in Christ. Then they struggled to be spiritually converted as their Leaders were not spiritually converted. Christian Leaders for whom making Followers of their version of Christianity was more important than making Disciples of the Lord Jesus.
The Devil likes spiritually unconverted Christians who make things up as they go along. He can use them!
Water Baptism became more important in some Churches than Spiritual Baptism.
Paul in Ephesus and Spiritual Baptism
Acts 19:1 While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples 2 and asked them, ‘Did you receive the Holy Spirit when [Or after] you believed?’
They answered, ‘No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.’
3 So Paul asked, ‘Then what baptism did you receive?’
‘John’s baptism,’ they replied.
4 Paul said, ‘John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus.’ 5 On hearing this, they were baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues [Or other languages] and prophesied. 7 There were about twelve men in all.
8 Paul entered the synagogue and spoke boldly there for three months, arguing persuasively about the kingdom of God. 9 But some of them became obstinate; they refused to believe and publicly maligned the Way. So Paul left them. He took the disciples with him and had discussions daily in the lecture hall of Tyrannus. 10 This went on for two years, so that all the Jews and Greeks who lived in the province of Asia heard the word of the Lord.
The works of the Spiritually Converted Believers
11 God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, 12 so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to those who were ill, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.
The works of the spiritually unconverted people
13 Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, ‘In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.’ 14 Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. 15 One day the evil spirit answered them, ‘Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?’ 16 Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.
This is what must happen with the evildoing Christians who are not spiritually converted
17 When this became known to the Jews and Greeks living in Ephesus, they were all seized with fear, and the name of the Lord Jesus was held in high honour. 18 Many of those who believed now came and openly confessed what they had done. 19 A number who had practised sorcery brought their scrolls together and burned them publicly. When they calculated the value of the scrolls, the total came to fifty thousand drachmas. [A drachma was a silver coin worth about a day’s wages.] 20 In this way the word of the Lord spread widely and grew in power.
21 After all this had happened, Paul decided [Or decided in the Spirit] to go to Jerusalem, passing through Macedonia and Achaia. ‘After I have been there,’ he said, ‘I must visit Rome also.’ 22 He sent two of his helpers, Timothy and Erastus, to Macedonia, while he stayed in the province of Asia a little longer.
When you meet a Christian who has not been validated by God the Holy Spirit. Then you meet a Christian who does not do any of the spiritual wonders in the above verses. BUT beware, because there a Signs and Wonders done by the Devil controlled Christians. You have to let the Holy Spirit show you whom to trust.
The True Christians have to oppose and correct the unconverted Christians. In my experience, these true Members of Christ’s Spiritual Body, are few and far between.
Here is a webpage containing the teaching of Charles Finney on this subject of a true Follower of the Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

The Gospel of Jesus that many Christian Leaders, who have no true Testimony, need to use.
What is Moral Law? Do Christians know, let alone, understand it.
Bad Preaching so as to convert no one CHURCHIANITY
Good Preaching so as to win Souls CHRISTIANITY
The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit who provides the Testimony and without whom we are just playing at Christianity.
