mikehill4jesus “Helping Christless Christians to fall in love with Jesus”

Who are these Christless Christians?
Now it’s very easy for me to slip into a Bible Study mode:
- what is the Church?
- what is the Spiritual Body of Christ?
- what are the Roles and Gifts of Christians who are spiritually converted?
However, that is not my aim, for I have already done that on my Website and many others have also done that elsewhere.
No, my aim is to witness to the truth about the Lord Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. To encourage these Christless Christians who are members of what is called Churchianity, Christianity with Church replacing Christ, to seek spiritual truth and guidance from God. As outlined by the Lord Jesus in Chapter 14 of the Gospel of John.
Jesus promises the Holy Spirit
John 14:15 ‘If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you for ever – 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be [Some early manuscripts and is] in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Before long, the world will not see me any more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 On that day you will realise that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.’
22 Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, ‘But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?’
23 Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.
25 ‘All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
28 ‘You heard me say, “I am going away and I am coming back to you.” If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. 29 I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe. 30 I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold over me, 31 but he comes so that the world may learn that I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me.
‘Come now; let us leave.
Professing Christians living a life that is not truly Christian
In the above Bible passages, the Lord Jesus is describing two groups of People:
The true Christians, are as described in John 14:23, who have been given the Holy Spirit of God, John 14:26, that will give them a new life. The Christless Christians are as described in John 14:24.
The Lord Jesus describes the narrow and wide gates
Matthew 7:13 ‘Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
These are the people on the Narrow Road and these are the people on the Broad Road. Those on the Narrow Road cannot be copied by those people on the Broad Road – It’s impossible! That is why unsaved people clinging to their man-made religion act the way they do – living in darkness and being influenced by the Devil. They are what the Bible describes as humans who are lost when God wants them to be saved.
WHY IS IT IMPOSSIBLE TO PRETEND TO BE ON THE NARROW ROAD?
The Lord Jesus knows which People are in a loving relationship with Him. The true and false disciples. The true disciples are those described in John 14:23 and are on the Narrow Road.
Matthew 7:21 ‘Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord,” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?” 23 Then I will tell them plainly, “I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!”
Can those who are on the Narrow Road go to Hell?
Yes, if they stop loving their Saviour and start shunning the Holy Spirit of God. It’s something I fear might happen to me if I don’t do the following.
Here the Apostle Paul is writing to a younger Apostle called Timothy.
1 Timothy 1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the command of God our Saviour and of Christ Jesus our hope,
2 To Timothy my true son in the faith:
Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
Timothy charged to oppose false teachers (That is what I do)
3 As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain people not to teach false doctrines any longer 4 or to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. Such things promote controversial speculations rather than advancing God’s work – which is by faith. 5 The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. 6 Some have departed from these and have turned to meaningless talk. 7 They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm.
8 We know that the law is good if one uses it properly. 9 We also know that the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, 10 for the sexually immoral, for those practising homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers – and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine 11 that conforms to the gospel concerning the glory of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.
The Lord’s grace to Paul (I also received such grace)
12 I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me trustworthy, appointing me to his service. 13 Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. 14 The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
15 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners – of whom I am the worst. 16 But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. 17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
The charge to Timothy renewed (It’s that important)
18 Timothy, my son, I am giving you this command in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by recalling them you may fight the battle well, 19 holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck with regard to the faith. 20 Among them are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan to be taught not to blaspheme.
Paul reinforces his advice to Timothy (Important to both Timothy and the Lost Souls)
1 Timothy 4:16 ‘Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.’
So if this is what those on the Narrow Road should do, even if gifted by Jesus to be an Apostle, then all described in John 14:23 should do also.
HOW HARD IT IS FOR THOSE ON THE BROAD ROAD TO GET ONTO THE NARROW ROAD?
Hard, but not impossible, but you have to be born again through the Gospel of Jesus! It is my role, and the role of all on the Narrow Road, to help you get off the Broad Road leading to Hell. But only you can choose to love Jesus as your Saviour and choose to obey His teachings. Once on the Narrow Road to Heaven, you have the Holy Spirit of God to sanctify you – change you into the image of Christ Jesus, the Lord of ALL.
The LAW of the New Testament is obedience to Christ as a result of your love for Him
To be chosen for Salvation, you have to be as the Lord Jesus describes in John 14:23!
Those whom the Lord will refuse entry into Heaven and send into Hell are described in John 14:24!
There is no religion, not even Christian, that can do what the Lord Jesus proclaimed He can do.
Revelation 1:18 ‘I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.’
See how the perfect Lord Jesus affected those religious people he witnessed to

In my testimony you will see how over time the Holy Spirit influenced me by the Gospel of Jesus until I chose to love the Lord Jesus. I also describe those I have observed to be showing signs of rejecting the Gospel. They are unable to produce a testimony of their own walk with God – before and after salvation. Though for some, it might be the case of they are not yet able to form in their mind what is happening to them.

Do not study the Holy Bible without allowing the Holy Spirit of God to help you.
