Who are your worst enemies?

John 14:23 Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.’

So where do Members of Christ’s Spiritual Body, those described by Jesus in John 14:23, find their worst enemies?

Well, they find them everywhere there are people as described by Jesus in John 14:24.

Enemies in their own family!

Matthew 10:34-40 New International Version – UK (NIVUK)

34 ‘Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn

‘“a man against his father,
a daughter against her mother,
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law –
a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.” [Micah 7:6]

37 ‘Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38 Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39 Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.

40 ‘Anyone who welcomes you welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me.

Micah 7:6 New International Version – UK (NIVUK)
For a son dishonours his father,
a daughter rises up against her mother,
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law –
a man’s enemies are the members of his own household.

Family members who are unconverted by the Holy Spirit will hate you.

Enemies in the Churches

These enemies of God have one thing in common with each other:

They disobey God’s Commands:

The Two Greatest Commandments and the New Commandment

Matthew 22:36-38 New International Version – UK (NIVUK)
36 ‘Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?’ 37 Jesus replied: ‘“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” [Deut. 6:5] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: “Love your neighbour as yourself.” [Lev. 19:18]

John 13:34-35 New International Version – UK (NIVUK)
34 ‘A new command I give you: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.’

God’s Protection

Suffering People went to the Jewish Leaders for protection and did not always get it. Today they go to Church Leaders for protection and do not always get it. One problem, is that there are so many (340+) versions of ?Christianity?, commonly called Churchianity (Christianity without Christ) to choose from – You can even create your own personal one.

In the New Testament, people went to the Apostles for help and they got it. Why them and not the Religious Leaders? Because the Apostles and those with them, except disciples who had backslidden, had God living with them. They also obeyed the above commands!

It is the same today!

There are Christians who have become members of Christ’s Spiritual Body here on Earth. They have Jesus living with them through the Holy Spirit of God, thus having God’s protection.

But there are also Professing Christians who are not in union with Jesus, but are enemies of God. They hate God and those who live in unity with God. They hate people who also hate God. They are Children of the Devil! He, the Devil, is the Father of all Liars who are seeking to do evil.

An Example is of a chosen Disciple of Jesus who disobeyed Him: Judas Iscariot (died c. 30–33 AD) was one of the twelve original disciples of Jesus Christ and son of Simon Iscariot, according to the New Testament. Judas is known for the kiss and betrayal of Jesus to the Sanhedrin for thirty silver coins. His name is often used synonymously with betrayal or treason.

He also enters those professing Christians who disobey the above commands!

Do not study the Holy Bible without allowing the Holy Spirit of God to help you.
