John 14:23 Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.’

Many people, since they were spoken, have ignored them and not only lived a Christless life, but also been refused entry into Heaven
How easily and tenderly did the Dear Lord speak these words of divine promise from his Father to those who loved him, the Son of God. He still speaks them today, to those whom truly love him. John 14:23.
However, he also gives a true description of those persons who claim to love him, but they do not, because they refuse to learn and obey his teachings. John 14:24.
Oh what a rude awakening for them when they pass from this life to the next!
John 14:15-31 New International Version – UK (NIVUK)
Jesus promises the Holy Spirit
15 ‘If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you for ever – 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be [Some early manuscripts and is] in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Before long, the world will not see me any more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 On that day you will realise that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.’
22 Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, ‘But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?’
23 Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.
25 ‘All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
28 ‘You heard me say, “I am going away and I am coming back to you.” If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. 29 I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe. 30 I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold over me, 31 but he comes so that the world may learn that I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me.
‘Come now; let us leave.
These words of love, grace, and mercy, preceded the evil act of the one Disciple who chose to let the Devil into him and thus betrayed Jesus who wanted so much to save him.
WHAT IS YOUR RESPONSE TO THESE WORDS?
Are you an impenitent sinner disguised as a Christian, John 14:24? Then now is the time, before it’s too late, to openly and honestly repent of your evildoing and give your life to the Lord Jesus.
Are you a true Christian, John 14:23? Then now is the time to stop quenching the Holy Spirit of God and give Jesus complete ownership of your life. Give Jesus full claim on your time. Seek out other members of Christ’s spiritual body who are working with Him in making new disciples of “HIM”, not “THEM”.
Live these words spoken by a true Disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Galatians 2:19 ‘For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.’
For be sure of this, the Father will know the truth about you and will either love you or hate you. And if he hates you because you are an impenitent sinner, Christ will not be living in you. You will be a Christless Christian playing at Churchianity until He decides that enough of your evildoing is enough.

Well, I tell you the truth, repent now, for there is no other way into Salvation. Respond to the love from Jesus with your love that leads you into obeying his teaching, not the worlds teaching that you follow now.
Woe to Impenitent Christian Sinners who pretend to be Followers of Jesus Christ. Without the Holy Spirit, it is impossible to do!
